Wil Wheaton’s “Memories of the Futurecast” Engages us With Awesome | GeekDad | Wired.com:
"A few years ago, writer, actor, and honorary GeekDad Wil Wheaton started writing a memoir of sorts about Star Trek: The Next Generation for TV Squad. While budget cuts ended that relationship, Wil decided to turn the stories into a book, called Memories of the Future. Beginning with the first half of the first season, Wil gives us a synopsis of each episode and behind the scenes anecdotes of what it was like working on the set of every geek’s dream with a cast of amazing actors.
But let’s not forget something: Star Trek: The Next Generation was a show that took the writers and actors some time to settle in to. In fact, it wasn’t until Riker grew his beard that things really started to get good. Fans of the show know this, including Wil. So it’s not surprising that his stories are full of wit, sarcasm and a hint of fondness as he describes each episode and his roll in it."
